Olympus Magna Mike 8500 Hall Effect Thickness Gauge

The replacement model Magna Mike 8600 has been discontinued

Magna Mike instrument is a Hall effect thickness gauge that uses a magnetic probe to accurately measure the thickness of non-ferrous thin materials such as plastic bottles. This instrument is easy to operate and does not require any other equipment except for small steel balls that can be placed inside the tested component.

Magna Mike 8500 is a handheld thickness measuring instrument that uses magnetic methods to quickly, accurately, and repeatedly measure the thickness of non ferromagnetic materials. When measuring thickness, place the magnetic probe on one side of the material being measured and the corresponding steel ball on the other side. The Hall effect sensor on the probe can measure the distance from the probe tip to the steel ball, providing a digital thickness reading.
Important features of 8500:
Zui small model continuously displays Zui small thickness readings
Portable and lightweight (2.1 pounds)
Wide range of basic fields for data measuring instruments with RS-232 interface
There are some simple operation methods
The LCD Magna Mike 8500 with a large number of background lights is an ideal measuring tool for objects whose shape and size are difficult to measure.
Absolute non-destructive measurement capability, allowing accurate description of blind spots and thickness readings of grooves and troughs up to 1/32 radius.
Simultaneously display the thickness value and the reading of the smallest thickness.
Magna Mike has passed the assessment of plastic packaging industry standards, and in addition, there are many other proven uses such as glass containers, synthetic materials, and non-ferrous substances.
The benefits of excellent Magna Mike:
Quick thickness gauge, reaching 16 times per second
Test the smallest thickness in difficult corners
Easy to measure the center position of large objects
Accuracy of ± 1%, unaffected by the shape and properties of the object being measured
Internal data record storage reaches 95000 thickness readings
Test head with Magna Mike 8000 model*
Additionally equipped with customer support and service
